1. OBJECTIVES
Learning and improvement of the different techniques and types of embroidery.
Application of embroidery in relief, Richelieu and lost point or nuance in children’s clothing.
Improvement of the points of enhancement and the so-called old points by applying them to children’s clothing or baby’s trousseau.
Rescue of baby and baby trousseau garments with embroidery applications.
Develop garments with new designs incorporating embroidery works as a complement.
2. TRAINING PROGRAM OF THE COURSE
The methodology of this course is practical and is based on the complete development of the piece following the different traditional processes for its execution.
For the elaboration of each piece, a series of processes will be followed in which the techniques and knowledge necessary for its realization will be explained.
Selection of design and type of work to be embroidered.
Elaboration of design through sketches on paper.
Development of patterns.
Choice of base material for the execution of the piece. Selection of fabrics taking into account the application and use of the final product.
Frame in the fabric and swarm.
Selection of threads and colors according to the work to be done.
Elaboration of the different points to apply according to the selected design: nuance, Richelieu, enhancement, old points, etc.
Trimming and finishing the piece.
Ironing and presentation.
3. MATERIALS AND TOOLS
Each student will take charge of the raw material, tool and utensils needed for the development of the course. (Fabrics threads, scissors, needles, thimbles, pad, stool for feet, pencils, rubbers, etc.)
4. DESTINATORS AND DURATION OF THE COURSE
The course is aimed at a maximum of 30 students with or without knowledge of the trade, divided into two groups of 15 students. The duration of the course will be 72 teaching hours distributed on a day a week of three hours each class for six months for each group.
